I've been merged mining digitalNote with Monero for a good while. So that's my only investment in this coin. You can argue which is really better but these are my observations: Monero Devs/Community have their shit together big time. Very active, very helpful, they have a upgrade that is going to reduce fees by 80% around May called bulletproofs.

Monero is on a ton of exchanges including the 2 XDN is on. There is a lot of life in Monero. Whereas I struggle to find any life at all from the XDN dev team. Ethereum ETH Mining How To Get Started. The github appears to have ground to a halt this past August. The only real voice I hear from XDN is (from what I can tell) a unofficial fan community (twitter) with zero control over the development. Having the wallet installer have a easy to fix albeit critical to functioning syncing issue out of the box, since at least August, that remains unresolved.

That is pretty sloppy imo. None of this is exactly confidence inspiring. It's a cheap, merged mine-able coin, that if development shows life and small flaws get fixed could have potential imo, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

You need to look at coins that run under the cryptonight algorithm, these are coins such as Monero (XMR) Bytecoin (BCN) Digital Note (XDN) and Boolberry which is relatively new i believe.
