ZClassic ZCL Mines
I've been in cryptos for some time but I'm new to ZClassic. I wanted to start mining ZCL but I couldn't find a proper, easy for newbies, guide for NVIDIA cards, so I thought why not write my own since many people, who are out of the crypto culture, may find it difficult to follow the ones that exist.
By popular request from the ZCL telegram group, I am going to write a quick mining guide for ZCL. Download the following zip file depending on your GPUs: nVidia: AMD: and download the specialized miner Extract the zip files and place them where you want. For claymore: This will be simpler as I do not have experience with the AMD miner so please see the link above for more information. Go to where you placed the files and right click >edit the 'start' batch file.
Make it look like this::loop ZecMiner64.exe -zpool us-east.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20575 -zwal YourLogin.YourWorkerName -zpsw YourWorkerPassword goto loop Run the batch file and you should be in business! Last thing you need to do is set up the windows wallet. Let me clear some things up.
I use miningpoolhub as a pool and EWBF miner. So, the tutorial is based on these. Now let's proceed to the guide. • Create a ZClassic wallet address.
You can use whatever wallet you like, I use Bittrex. • Go to and download Zec.miner.0.3.4b.zip.
• Go to and register an account. (If you already have an account skip this step) • Now, since you are logged in, navigate to the menu on the left and click on Wallet. Copy your address and paste it in the PAYMENT ADDRESS field. Now fill the AUTOMATIC PAYOUT THRESHOLD with a number between 0.001 and 5000000. The pool stores your mined coins and transfers them to your address when they meet the amount you have specified. Enter your PIN in the 4 DIGIT PIN field and click on Update Account.
• Extract Zec.miner.0.3.4b.zip wherever you like. • Right Click on start file and select Edit. • Copy and paste the following: miner --server YourPreferedServer --port 20575 --user YourPoolUsername.AWorkerNameYouLike --pass YourPoolPassword (You will find your prefered server at based on your location. For example, europe.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com if you are in Europe. Do not copy:20575. • Save the file and close it. • Run start file and the miner should open.
Happy mining! If you have any questions or if you want to add anything, feel free to comment. It's completely normal. Don't be afraid to let it mine on these temperatures. GPUs have built-in temp protection.
They will shut down automatically if they cannot keep going. All the people mining work with the same temperatures more or less depending on their GPUs cooler. 60-70 is common. My GPU runs on 68 average, hitting 70 occasionally. I think that EWBF miner has also a default temperature protection system that stops the miner if the card gets too hot but I am not sure about it.
It's a fact that you can set it but I think that it's on by default, let me be a little unsure about it. • • • • • • •.
