Since a lot of these questions are coming back very often lately, i decided to do a quick post about them. Buying: (old HTML5) (new HTML) (new HTML) The former 2 exchanges still have the old coin as well so in case you have HTML5 on them, the below still applies. LE: If you buy HTML from bleutrade or tradesatoshi there's no need to do any swap.

You can just transfer the coins into your HTML 2. Buy BURST No Minimum. Free Cloud HTMLCOIN HTML Mining. 0.0.2 wallet. Swapping manually in case you bought from yobit: Download the new HTML 2.0.0.2 wallet from Let is sync until finished, create new address by going to Receive - (enter a Label-Name for the address if you want) and click request payment. Go to - Enter your HTMLCOIN 2.0 address - you need to enter the address generated on your local wallet where you will receive the swapped coins. Hit submit and you'll get the HTML5 address where you need to send your old coins. Go to yobit and send them to the HTML5 address you got from the swap form (or do a test before sending a large amount) You should receive the new HTML coins in your wallet after some time (sometime it takes more than 1h that it took for me) Mining: Go to your new 2.0.0.2 wallet, go to Help - Debug - Console and write: generate 999 This will try to generate 999 blocks and retry 999999999 times.
If after 30min-1h you get empty brackets, it means you're mining but didn't find a block. Queue up that command by running it multiple times and eventually you'll find a block (notice something in between brackets). Usually it's 1-2 blocks per day if you're lucky.
The block reward will confirm after 501 other confirmations (coins become available in the wallet) Block reward is 1250 coins. You can mine from multiple wallets/machines, no need to have coins in them.
Use generatetoaddress 999 'address here without quotes' 999999999 if you want to mine from a secondary machine into the same wallet. Staking: To stack, you just need to have the coins in your wallet, the wallet encrypted but unlocked for staking. In the wallet where you have your coins, go to Settings, Encrypt wallet and give a pass phrase. REMEMBER THAT PASS PHRASE AS WITHOUT IT YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE WALLET AND LOSE THE COINS. After that, go to Settings again - Unlock Wallet, give in your pass phrase and select 'For staking only' if not selected. Ta daaa:) you're staking.
You can check it in the lower right corner of the wallet, the thunder icon. Hover over it and you'll notice it gives you some details about it. Rewards take time.
The reward is 1% per year for staking which means 0.08% of your coins per month. This quick write up is based on own experience, do your own research as well before taking any action. Hope it's useful. If anything else comes up, i'll try to update the post.
